    Detailed Description

    Position Summary Purple Drive is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to strengthen our manufacturing quality systems, drive continuous improvement, lead root cause analysis, and support quality assurance efforts across product and process development. This role plays a key part in ensuring product integrity, meeting workmanship standards, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Lead problem investigation and implement corrective and preventive solutions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate manufacturing quality. Analyze failure reports and recommend corrective actions. Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics and performance data. Facilitate creation and maintenance of control plans, process flows, and PFMEAs for new and existing products. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and Product Management to understand quality issues and improve product performance. Support the transition of new product releases into manufacturing with quality considerations. Collaborate with Supplier Quality to ensure alignment and communication on quality expectations. Auditing & Compliance Participate as an auditor of the Quality Management System. Ensure quality practices and systems align with internal standards. Address and resolve assigned quality projects and issues. Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality goals. Required Qualifications BA or BS degree, or equivalent experience; Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering preferred. No experience required with a bachelor’s degree OR minimum 5 years relevant experience instead of a degree. Valid driver’s license. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Ability to design special tooling, develop manufacturing processes, and assess new manufacturing technologies. Highly adaptable with a strong work ethic and high standards for quality and productivity. Physical & Environmental Requirements Heavy lifting (over 50 lbs). Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, twisting, and climbing (stairs/ladders). Use of protective equipment (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, safety-toed shoes/boots) is required.
