    Detailed Description

    We are seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor to lead first-shift EP Wiring operations at its Ironton and Franklin Furnace, Ohio, facilities. This role is responsible for supervising, coaching, and developing production associates to achieve departmental and organizational objectives while consistently meeting or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) in Safety, Quality, Production, VOS, and other critical metrics.

    The Production Supervisor will set ambitious performance and improvement goals, foster a culture of accountability and engagement, and serve as a key partner to plant leadership in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.


    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership & Performance Management

    • Supervise, coach, and develop individuals and teams to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity.

    • Monitor performance and actively promote continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Provide clear direction, resources, and support to ensure the successful execution of daily production objectives.

    • Recognize achievements, reinforce positive behaviors, and coach for ongoing performance improvement.

    Production Oversight & Workforce Management

    • Supervise manufacturing associates, including assigning work, reviewing output, and evaluating performance.

    • Delegate responsibilities, prioritize workloads, and ensure production schedules are met.

    • Conduct regular team meetings to align employees with business goals and operational priorities.

    Training, Compliance & Standards

    • Train team members on policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistent and compliant operations.

    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of mandatory corporate training requirements (e.g., Ethics, Conflict of Interest).

    • Define and track key performance measures to evaluate training effectiveness and best practices.

    • Establish, maintain, and communicate procedures that support effective technical training and operational excellence.

    Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership

    • Act as a business partner in driving process improvements and change initiatives across the production line.

    • Promote Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

    • Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

    Employee Engagement & Communication

    • Conduct employee performance reviews and provide regular, constructive feedback.

    • Foster a work environment that encourages employee involvement, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    • Schedule and lead meetings that reinforce company objectives, operational priorities, and performance expectations.


    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership or supervisory role.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and lead a diverse workforce.

    • Self-motivated with strong prioritization and organizational skills.

    • Working knowledge of ISO standards and Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles.

    • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required to meet plant operational needs.


    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to lift upto 50 pounds.

    • Light manufacturing environment.

    • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

    • Use of tools requiring manual dexterity.

    • May be required to operate powered industrial equipment.


    Travel Requirements

    • Up to 10% travel as required.
