Position Overview
Purple Drive is seeking a strategic, customer-driven Product Marketing Manager – Liquid Cooling to serve as the portfolio leader and subject matter expert for our Liquid Cooling solutions. This role will be responsible for shaping product positioning, driving go-to-market execution, and enabling sales success through compelling messaging, market insight, and integrated marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, proven B2B product marketing experience, and the ability to translate complex cooling technologies into clear customer value and competitive differentiation. This position is critical to supporting business growth, revenue expansion, and long-term portfolio success.
This is an onsite role based at our Global Headquarters in Westerville, Ohio. For the right candidate, onsite work may also be considered from St. Louis, Missouri; Excelsior, Minnesota; or Redhill, Great Britain.
Key Responsibilities
Product Marketing Strategy & Portfolio Positioning
Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) and marketing expert for the Liquid Cooling portfolio.
Develop end-to-end positioning, value propositions, and messaging strategies across solution offerings.
Lead product launch and lifecycle marketing programs for both new innovations and existing products.
Own portfolio messaging that supports external communications, promotional efforts, and integrated campaigns.
Conduct competitive assessments and define positioning strategies that clearly differentiate Purple Drive’s solutions.
Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
Research customer applications, buyer personas, industry trends, and evolving market demands.
Monitor competitor activity and deliver trend analysis and insights to Marketing and Offering Management teams.
Provide strategic input that informs portfolio direction, marketing priorities, and customer engagement strategy.
Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales, Offering Management, and cross-functional stakeholders to support solution adoption and growth.
Develop high-impact enablement tools, including presentations, brochures, case studies, and training materials.
Support sales strategies that drive pipeline generation, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and account expansion.
Present portfolio marketing plans, campaign performance, and strategic initiatives to leadership and key stakeholders.
Go-to-Market Execution & Campaign Development
Design and execute go-to-market plans, events, and demand-generation campaigns that accelerate revenue impact.
Support regional marketing initiatives tailored to customer needs and market opportunities.
Create and continuously enhance customer-facing collateral such as datasheets, web content, brochures, and solution overviews.
Additional Contributions
Perform other duties and special projects as needed to support broader marketing and business objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or engineering within a B2B technical environment.
At least 3 years of experience in a technical industry (data center experience strongly preferred).
Strong presentation, public speaking, and stakeholder communication capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to build value propositions, messaging frameworks, and marketing-driven pipeline programs.
Proven success operating in ambiguous environments while delivering measurable results.
Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence across cross-functional and global teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of data center hardware/software solutions and market trends preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering background strongly preferred.
Experience with solution marketing, account-based marketing, and cross-sell/upsell growth strategies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Ability to quickly learn and apply technical concepts to customer-facing messaging and programs.
