    About the Role
    We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the Metals Department and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will champion safety, ensure high-quality production, meet cost and delivery targets, and build high-performing teams. You will play a key role in production planning, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives.

    What You’ll Do
    Operational Leadership
    Lead production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
    Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production operations.
    Implement and maintain visual KPI reporting to drive team performance.
    Identify and recommend improvements in equipment, tooling, and processes.

    Team Development & Engagement
    Evaluate personnel needs and recommend staffing adjustments.
    Conduct regular departmental and tier meetings.
    Develop training plans and coach team members for improved performance.
    Establish skill development plans for direct reports.

    Quality & Safety Assurance
    Ensure all work is completed safely and report unsafe equipment.
    Maintain high housekeeping standards.
    Oversee system utilization to guarantee product integrity.

    Process & Resource Management
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers and internal managers.
    Optimize fabrication capacity and material utilization.
    Ensure accurate costing and identify opportunities for improvement.

    Who You Are
    Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
    3–5+ years’ management experience in a production environment.
    Strong communicator with excellent leadership and coaching skills.

    Experience with MS Office and ERP systems.
    Knowledge of ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
    Proven experience in production scheduling and metal fabrication.
    Proficient with measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, etc.).
    CNC operating experience is a plus.
