    Position Overview

    Purple Drive is seeking a skilled and driven Maintenance Technician to support reliable plant operations through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production machinery, facility systems, and building infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and a safe manufacturing environment.

    The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise, hands-on repair experience, and the flexibility to support equipment installation, relocation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.


    Key Responsibilities

    Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

    • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.

    • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.

    • Execute maintenance tasks using proper tools, work instructions, and technical documentation.

    • Support equipment installation, setup, relocation, and commissioning projects as required.

    Operational Support & Flexibility

    • Work any assigned shift, including weekends, shutdown periods, and overtime as business needs dictate.

    • Assist with additional manufacturing or maintenance duties to support overall plant performance.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Follow all plant safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

    • Maintain safe work practices while operating diagnostic devices, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

    • Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all maintenance activities.


    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    • Must successfully pass the Maintenance A Test with a minimum score of 70%.

    • Ability to maintain consistent attendance and contribute effectively in a team-based environment.

    • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with strong problem-solving ability.


    Technical Skills & Competencies

    Preferred Experience

    • 1–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

    • Background in Siemens CNC systems and/or PLC automation strongly preferred.

    Required Technical Capabilities

    • Proficiency in electrical measuring devices such as multi-meters (oscilloscope experience is a plus).

    • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and diagrams.

    • Welding skills, including acetylene torch, stick welding, and MIG-wire welding as needed.

    • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

    • Computer proficiency for accessing, entering, and managing maintenance work orders within a CMMS or similar system.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Rigging and lifting knowledge is a plus.

    • Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.

    • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and equipment reliability best practices.
